He was born in New York before the global civil war.  By the time the war was he had joined up in the navy and  his father had been killed by the eastern block.  He never really got over it and probably helped make him the strong leader that he became.

RDF officers recognized the leadership qualities that he possessed and convinced him to take officer training.  when that was complete he served on a number of ships until he got his first command.

His last ship was the Lori Carrier that was lost in the asteroid bank while looking for the AUL Mecha Factory
