The fourth Nargis class, fast attack cruiser built at the earth Mecha factory in orbit around earth.  It was commissioned by the Chancellor after he took power from the provisional government to help bolster the fire power of earths space navy.  Used mostly to patrol shipping lanes between earth and other outposts against pirates.

The Malahat Just like her sister ship the UNSN Beacon Hill followed the naming practice of being named after HMCS Malahat which was the part of the Canadian Navy's naval  reserve unit located in Victoria BC.

Like the Beacon Hill the orginal ship's crest was incorporated into the RDF's Ship badge
